WELCOME TO ROKEBY MANOR
Crisp mountain air scented with cedar, pine and oak, an unending sea of ridges and views of snow capped Himalayas; it’s easy to see why the British chose this scenic nook as a place to recuperate. Nearly two centuries later, Landour retains much of its old world charm, best experienced at the 175-year-old Rokeby Manor.
About Rokeby
Rokeby Manor is an awe-inspiring English-style Country Estatehotel nestled in the hills of Landour, Mussoorie. This heritage home has been restored to its original 19th Century décor. The character of the Estate can be found in its brick arches, alcoves, and intricately worked stonewalls. All of the wooden floors, ceiling beams, and fireplaces have been kept and restored throughout the property. In keeping with the old-world charm of Rokeby Manor, all of our rooms are decorated with rustic patchwork quilts and floral motifs. The Manor is surrounded by views of the Doon Valley, the Eternal Snows of the Himalayas, and Cedar and Oak forests. Nature walks to mountain biking, trekking and scenic drives – Mussoorie has a lot to offer. Inhale deeply and enjoy the tranquility of Rokeby Manor.
Outdoor Jacuzzi
The novelty of the open-air jacuzzis never ceases to awe Rokeby’s guests – relax in outdoor hot tubs after the day’s excursion and watch the sun sink beyond the horizon.
Activities
Views of snowy peaks, day picnics and early morning walks or sunset strolls, there’s plenty to do at Rokeby. Start with the customary chukkar, an old bridle trail circling the three summits of Landour ridge via an old cemetery, churches and Lal Tibba, the highest point. For longer excursions, hike to Jabarkhet Nature Reserve, Kulti village, scenic viewpoints or the nearby hills of Nag Tibba.
